Yesterday, I had the privilege of celebrating my grandfather's 91st birthday with him and my grandmother. Even though he is not saved, it is a blessing to me to have spent 18 of his 91 years with him. What a testimony of God's patient and steadfast grace! He has graciously allowed my grandfather 91 years (so far!:) to come to a saving knowledge of Him and we are praying! So please, pray with us too, that him and my grandmother will come to know the true Jesus (they are Jehovah Witnesses) and what the real Bible says about salvation and the doctrines of grace.
We all had a good time celebrating his birthday yesterday, lighting candles in a yummy apple pie, and singing loud for all the neighbors to hear! He usually is not a big fan of parties, but as we all get older, we understand more that family is important, no matter how crazy we all are ;)
